Hi there and thanks for stopping by!  I’m Teresa – I’m a slightly crunchy wife, momma, Jesus-follower, campus minister and personal trainer.  This little space on the internet is my corner for sharing my thoughts on anything and everything related to the different hats I wear.

Why “Steady Movement?”  I think Psalm 119:105 says it well “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”  A lamp doesn’t show the next three miles, you can’t see your whole journey…but you can see far enough ahead for the next step.  You just have to keep putting one foot in front of the other…Steady Movement.

My job as a campus staff member for InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is amazing.  For the past five years I have had the privilege of sharing Jesus and life with college students in Michigan.

I also have a passion for and commitment to a healthy and active lifestyle…including the areas of fitness, nutrition, and wellness.  I have worked as a personal trainer for the past six years, journeying with people as they learn to care well for the body that God has given them.  I pay attention to the things we put in and on our bodies (even more so now that I’m a mom to the little mister). My hubby goes along with most of my suggestions and ideas…most of them.

I love to garden, though I am no expert. I try to make natural home and beauty care products, though I have not found a shampoo/conditioner that I like so I stick with “normal” stuff for now. I cloth diaper my little mister and love them way more than disposables, they are cuter too. While baking is much more fun I am learning to cook better and more nutritious food, which constantly leaves me saying “there is no food in this house”…because I just don’t buy much in the way of snack foods/already prepped foods.  You will always find ice cream in my freezer; if it isn’t there it is because I just finished it off and a grocery trip is on my to do list…today.

I am terrible at consistently keeping a blog.  I go in spurts…I think I may be starting one of them right now.  We’ll see how long it lasts 🙂

So join me if you dare as I detail for you and me my journey of steady movement…hopefully in the forward direction.

  1. Wow. I’m hooked by your description and the metaphors of simply putting one foot in front of the other. And it’s so true. We tend to get caught up in our final destination that we forget the little steps we must take before we can accomplish our goals. In doing so, God gives us the strength to continue, even in the face of adversity. Your blog and your goals are exactly what I’m setting out to accomplish as well. It wasn’t until recent, I realized fitness/sports is the outlet to minister to others. And you’re right. Our bodies are temples. They aren’t ours to trash, but His. So why not teach and educate people on how to properly take care of their bodies. We all want to enjoy a fruitful, active, healthy lifestyles, right?! So why not fuel and refuel our physical and spiritual bodies! Once again, your description/blog is a true testament of Gods work. He’s laid out a plan for you and most importantly, given you the passion and ability to motivate and encourage others. Now, its your job to use this to your advantage. I hope to hear more from you and can’t wait to see what God has in store for you!

  2. Thank you for the wonderful compliments and encouraging words! I popped over to your site and was encouraged by your story of how God redeemed you and is now using you for His glory. 🙂
